Welcome to the
SCRS website

Our next meeting is October 3rd!

Elaine Kramer and Ricardo Beron will be playing two movements from
Sonata in d minor by Naudot for the Intrada/Prelude at 1:45.

Welcome old and new friends!

SCRS meets the first Saturday of every month at 2:00 pm from September through June. Should that Saturday fall on a holiday weekend, the meeting will be held on the second Saturday. For exact dates, visit our Conductors page.

Meetings are held at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at 11555 National Blvd, Los Angeles 90064. Click for a map and directions.

Each meeting is nearly three hours of conductor-led music making on recorders and other instruments as appropriate. Most selections are early music, but contemporary, jazz, etc. have been included. Refreshments are served at a break, which is a great time to converse with others interested in playing recorders. SCRS business and announcements are kept to a minimum.

Before each general meeting, there is a coaching session, which begins at 12:45 pm. These sessions are available for any member who wants to improve playing skills. This is particularly helpful if you are just beginning or learning a new instrument. Take advantage of them, as they are included in your dues!

If you want to know what else is going on, please read our newsletter. There are many things happening around town in the world of recorders!
